Definition: Save is the command given which stores
information on a disk, tape, or other device.
Work on a computer is done in RAM
which is temporary memory. This memory is erased when a computer is turned
off. Saving work places information and data onto a permanent storage space such as
a hard drive, floppy disk, or tape. Here the information is not lost when the
