Network

Definition:

A network is two or more computers physically connected to share information or hardware.

Explanation:

Before computers were connected in networks, users could only share information by saving the information onto a floppy disk and giving it to another user.  In a network, cables replace the need to give a disk to another user.  The cables connect computers in groups called networks.
