A bug is an error in the code or design of a program that causes the program to malfunction.
 
 

Explanation:

A bug is an error in software or hardware.  An error in the software program can be fix by changing the program.  The term bug became widely used in the 1940's when a moth was found smashed between the points of an electromechanical relay in a computer.
